Day 11! (3rd July)

Today Mrs Kirste had to work in the morning, so it was just me and ariane by the time we had both woken up for breakfast. Soon after however Mrs Kirste was home again and Arnulf was home from schhol a bit later, and we had another delicious lunch. (Man can Mrs Kirste ever cook!).

Afterwards Ariane had to go off to work on her first day doing some work at the hospital (a pre-requisite here for learning medicine from the beginning it seems). So off she went. Me and Mrs Kirste went to visit an amazing Nursery (plants) while Arnulf was at a tutoring lesson. Its a cool place ay. Its in this old estate, surrounded by a high wall, with beautiful, large buildings on the inside centered around a courtyard. The nursary is in one part out in the open (I think people stillive in the big houses and stuff). There were some cool plants, and awesome decorations.

Ha ha everytime i go to a good garden store i get so rarked up to have a really cool big, decorated garden when im older, and spend heapsa time making it awesome and beautiful.. Anyhoo, that was kinda random.. We then returned home, and Arnulf was there, because it was so hot (over 30°) me and Arnulf hung out in the pool for a while. Played like a variation of Waterpolo :) it was quite fun! Anyhow, he couldnt play forever as he had study to do, but soon Mr Kirste and Björn were home too.

After devouring some absolutely delicious german cheesecake that Mrs Kirste had baked the a day earlier, I realised it was dinner time. But seeing as dinner is pretty informal and a light meal over here it was no biggie. I had the normal roll, stuffed with meat of some description (they have tons of varieties over here!) and cheese (just as many varieties!) along with liberal amounts of this delicious packagd 'fleischsalat' or 'gemusesalat' and so on.. its basically little bits of meat and beges like mushrooms and stuff (each ones a bit diff tho) with lots of this really nice sauce (says its in yoghurt on the package). And yeah.. that usually does me just fine :).

Later Björn was going for a run so i thought id est the foot out and go with him. Thanks to the people who have been praying!! It held up really well and hasnt swollen or given me much pain since. I can tell its still not perfect, so im not gonna thrash it, but yeah! Thanks to all, and pray for it still. Also ive gotten some mild hayfever too, which means a whole lot of snivveling and stuff. That would be fine, but now one of my ears has completely blocked up (they seem to do that to me these days.. weird). Im just hoping that will clear up soon as it makes hearing people and understanding just that little bit harder.

Anyway.. the run was great ay!! Because Berkheim (and Esslingen) are a few minutes out of Stuttgart there are lots of feilds and open spaces once u travel a few hundred meters out from the populated areas. We ran for about an hour around these roads that were exclusively for eunners/walkers, bikers, and the famr vehicles that had feilds on either side of the road. It was soo beautiful ay!! Fresh air, beautiful feilds growing different crons and wheat and lettuces and stuff (when the sun hit the wheat on the right angle it was breathtaking!) And yeah.. it was fantastic! We were running from 8.30-around 9.30, so just as the sun was setting (but was still out). It was fantastic! Lots of others were out too :) tho one funny thing i noticed is nobody said hi or gave eye contact, wheras i find in NZ most people you pass will give you a look and if there is eye contact will say hello. But here nothing! Ha ha I initiated some hellos with a few people who i managed to lock eyes with, but it was all good!

Anyway.. after that it was a bit of reading, and then a reasonably early night (probably a good thing coy tomorrow is gonna be pretty huge!
